Samira Bawumia Celebrates Mother’s Day With Tagoe Sisters (Photos)
Second Lady of the Republic of Ghana Samira Bawumia has commended and congratulated veteran gospel musicians Tagoe Sisters for serving as mothers for all and emerging winners of ‘Model Mothers’ in the year 2023.
The Mirror’s Mothers’ Day Buffet Lunch and ‘Model Mothers’ Award, is an annual event organized to celebrate biological mothers and other women playing the role of mothers for others in the society.
The two musicians, Lydia Dedei Yawson Nee Tagoe and Elizabeth Korkoi Tagoe are one of the longest-serving gospel groups in Ghana and are well-known in Ghana and other countries.
The Second Lady in a Facebook post indicated that she is proud of the group as to how they are able to double their profession with motherhood.
Her post reads “I had the pleasure of joining our dear mothers at The Mirror’s Mothers’ Day Buffet Lunch, today in Accra. Our mothers deserve to be celebrated every day for their invaluable roles in our lives. Congratulations to the evergreen Tagoe Sisters on being awarded “Model Mothers” of the Year”.
