Sack Bank of Ghana boss – Minority MPs

Source The Ghana Report

The Minority in Parliament is demanding the immediate removal of the Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr. Ernest Addison, for failing to provide a substantive solution to the economic crisis in the country.

This follows calls by the Majority in Parliament for President Akufo-Addo to sack the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.

MP for Banda Constituency in the Brong Ahafo Region, Ahmed Ibrahim, who addressed the press to convey the resolution of the minority, indicated that Dr Addison and the Finance Minister had disappointed Ghanaians due to the current economic hardship in the country.

The current economic crisis has compelled trade unions to embark on several strike actions in the country.

The rising standard of living, the hikes in fuel prices, and the continuous depreciation of the cedi are compelling investors to lose confidence in investing in the country.
