Rev. Victor Kusi-Boateng, also known as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, has refuted claims that he was arrested and detained by the National Investigations Bureau (NIB).
Speaking to his congregation on Saturday, March 15, 2025, he clarified that upon returning to Ghana from a brief trip, he was simply invited for questioning regarding the National Cathedral project.
His clarification comes a few hours after a series of reports indicated that Kusi-Boateng had been arrested.
However, further investigation showed that the respected pastor was only called in for questioning and was never taken into custody.
Speaking in Twi to his church members on Saturday, he affirmed, “I have not been arrested, and no one can arrest me because I have done nothing that would warrant an arrest”.
He reassured his followers of his steadfast commitment to his mission, underscoring that he is focused and confident he will continue to experience divine grace. “This year is a year of grace,” he added.
Rev. Kusi-Boateng elaborated that his invitation for questioning was related to his role in the National Cathedral project, which had not progressed beyond the foundation stage.
He reiterated his innocence and encouraged his congregation to remain firm in their faith in him.
