Residents of the Red Top in the Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro constituency under the Ga South Municipal District are calling on the government to help fix their deplorable road.

According to the residents, the road is rendered impassable and inaccessible anytime it rained.

Another challenge the residents lamented was the unavailability of gutters in the area to curb flooding in the community when it rains.

The Member of Parliament for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro constituency, Hon. Sylvester Matthew Tetteh disclosed that “the poor nature of the road network in the area had been one of his biggest challenges and still engaging the Ministry of Road and Highways for the problem to be solved”.

He added that “not only the road leading to Red Top has become unmotorable but others around Weija and Gbawe including the roads leading to smaller towns within his constituency are all crammed with potholes” and he disclosed this in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Joy News.

Previous reports by some of the residents highlighted the consequences faced by the residents as a result of the bad nature of the road.  The report indicated that “notorious people attack residents on the roads in the evening or at dawn when going to work due to the fact that drivers are unable to drive faster on the road”.

The residents are pleading with the government to as a matter of urgency come to their aid by constructing the road to avoid havoc.
