Reggie Rockstone Removes His Dreadlocks
Reginald Yaw Asante Ossei, popularly known as Reggie Rockstone, has been spotted without his deadlocks.
‘The Godfather of hiplife’, who has been known to have dreadlocks since the commencement of his journey into the limelight as a rapper in the Ghanaian music industry, has posted a picture on his Instagram page with him in a low-cut hair with a hand holding a pair of scissors over his head.
Even though he did not give details of the haircut, he captioned the post, “call the police” with the hashtags “#done, #movierole, #saytay”, which suggests that he might have cut off the locks for a movie role.
Reggie Rockstone’s dreadlocks have been a prominent feature of his brand since he entered the music industry.
The member of the VVIP music group, who identifies as a Pan-Africanist, held strong beliefs in Rastafarianism and dreadlocks.
So, he was upset with the decision by his alma-matter Achimota Senior High School (SHS), to deny admissions to some students in 2021.
At the time of the incident, Reggie said he didn’t feel welcome again by the school if the school should deny someone admission because of his hair.
Reggie Rockstone also said all his children had dreadlocks and was disappointed Achimota denied some Ghanaian Rastafarians admission whilst photos showed the school admitting white girls with their long hair.
