Record labels also need investors – Koo Ntakra
Having a successful record label with enough money to help push your craft is the dream of every musician, and so also is the dream of Koo Ntakra, the 26-year-old rapper who rose to fame after winning the second season of MTN hitmaker.
Koo Ntakra, who is now signed to Gulf Course Entertainment, has lamented that investors are not looking in the direction of the arts and entertainment industry.
Even though he admits that his record label is doing well, he still thinks that they could be doing better should an investor come into the scene.
“My management is trying their best but the thing is now we need somebody to bring money and certain things because the talent is there, we just need somebody to also invest,” he told The Ghana Report.
According to Koo Ntakra, he does not speak for his management and himself alone but for all other record labels in Ghana because he believes when people follow the example of labels like Zylofon music, the industry will be better.
“I can give you an example like Zylofon. Some years ago they came in to support the upcoming artistes but although Shatta Wale was doing Shatta Movement, they signed him tooSomething like that too could help, ” he added.
Currently, Koo Ntakra has more than 25 songs to his credit including covers.
