Receiver of collapsed microfinance companies chase loan defaulters
The Receiver of the 347 microfinance companies that went under has admonished loan defaulters to pay off all outstanding debts.
Mr Eric Nipah requested that individuals and institutions that had taken loans from defunct companies visit any of the maintained branches for repayment immediately.
This is necessary for the Receiver in the winding down process of the collapsed institutions.
“Borrowers are to note that the Receiver will pursue all recalcitrant defaulters through all available means as permitted by the Act including, but not limited to, legal actions and publishing names of recalcitrant defaulters,” he said.
In a statement issued on Monday, March 16, 2020, Mr Nipah informed the respective entities to visit ghreceiverships.com for the full list of operating branches.
He urged all borrowers to stay true to their commitments, as it has brought ease to the repayment process, by providing a list of MTN MoMo numbers and receivership bank accounts, through which customers may settle their outstanding obligations to the defunct companies.
Working hours for the maintained branches of the defunct companies remain from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mondays to Fridays.
The list of bank accounts and MoMo numbers can be found below.
