Ghanaian rapper Andy Nii Akrashie known in showbiz as OJ Blaq, will be laid to rest on November 4, 2023, at Dzorwulu, Accra.
The funeral rites will be held at the Empowerment Worship Center, Dzorwulu near Allied Heights after which he will be given a private burial.
Thanksgiving service will be on Sunday, November 5 at the same Empowerment Worship Center.
OJ Blaq died in the early morning of Thursday, August 17 after battling kidney-related disease.
OJ Blaq began his music career in the early 2000s and released his debut album, “The Blaq Mixtape” in 2006.
He became popular in the music industry when he released the hit song ‘Chalewote’ which featured Asem and Captain Planet.
Aside from the music profession, the ‘Chalewote’ hitmaker starred in many movies and local drama series.
Subsequently, OJ Blaq made a U-turn from secular music to join the gospel fraternity later in his music career.
OJ Blaq died at age 40.
