Prosper Ogum blames Kotoko defeat to Bechem United on missed chances
Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has attributed his team’s recent defeat to Bechem United to his attackers’ indecisiveness in front of goal.
The Porcupine Warriors have now suffered three consecutive defeats this season, having previously lost to Legon Cities and Heart of Lions.
In his post-match comments, Ogum highlighted that missed clear scoring opportunities were the difference-maker in the match.
“We just have to be purposeful in front of goal. If we had been purposeful in front of goal, this unfortunate defeat would not have happened. You can’t get some of these chances and miss them.
‘We need to convert these chances. Not that they are quarter chances or half chances. These are full chances they need to convert them,” he stated.
Asante Kotoko’s recent struggles have seen them drop to sixth place in the league standings with 15 points.
The team will be looking to turn their fortunes around in their next fixture against Nations Football Club.
