Prosper Narteh unhappy with stalemate against Basake Holy Stars

Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has expressed his displeasure following his outfit stalemate against Basake Holy Stars in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors pursuit of a fourth consecutive victory was halted in a hard-fought following a1-1 draw against Basake Holy Stars at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Stadium in Nzema Anyinase on Sunday afternoon.

Kotoko took the lead in the 36th minute with a well-placed strike from Albert Amoah.

However, the home side rallied back and found an equalizer in the 81st minute, securing a crucial point and denying Kotoko the opportunity to ascend to the top of the league table.

“It’s not the result we expected but then, that’s what we have so we just have to accept and focus on our next game” he said after the game.

The draw leaves Kotoko three points behind league leaders Bibiani Goldstars, who secured a stunning victory over Hearts of Oak.

Looking ahead, Kotoko will face Legon Cities in a midweek match, eager to return to winning ways after this somewhat disappointing result.
