Prince Koffie replaces Adotey as head coach of Karela United
Ghana Premier League side Karela United have announced Prince Koffie as the club’s new head coach until the end of the domestic football season.
The club on Tuesday announced assistant coach Koffie as a replacement for Augustine Evans Adotey, who has been asked to step aside.
According to the club, the decision on coach Evans Adotey is based on health grounds.
The Ayinase-based side has been in their best form since the start of the second half of the season, dropping to the 7th position on the table with three matches to end the campaign.
Over the weekend, the team suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat at home to Ebusua Dwarfs on matchday 31 of the GPL.
The former Great Olympics trainer’s first match in charge will be when Karela takes a trip to Sogakope to face relegation-threatened Liberty Professionals at the WAFA Park this weekend.
Prince Koffie has had stints with New Edubiase United and Unistar Academy.
