Presidency is not a place for trials – Nana B to Mahama
The ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Youth Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has lashed out at former President, John Dramani Mahama in his quest to come back to power come 2020.
The National Youth Organizer argues ‘presidency‘ is not a place for correcting mistakes made in the past, making trials or experimenting.
According to Nana B, the Mahama led administration should have used the opportunities accorded them to address all the challenges confronting the youth in the North and Ghanaians at large.
Addressing the NPP youth wing in Tamale, the National Youth Organizer has maintained the Mahama-NDC led administration resorted to exploiting and enriching themselves through shambolic pro-poor policies implemented during their days of governance.
“The SADA idea to scale up development in the Northern regions was originally proposed by President Akufo-Addo when he was the flagbearer of the NPP in 2008. Characteristic of the NDC, they stole the idea and named it Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA). An initiative meant to reduce poverty and improve livelihood was, overnight, transformed into a special purpose vehicle for create, loot and share,” he stated.
He indicated “millions of Ghana cedis approved by Parliament for the eradication of poverty, provision of jobs and related opportunities to the youth in the Northern regions, ended up in the pockets of greedy family members and friends of Mr. Mahama.
NPP’s Nana B, believes the former President has not been able to clearly state policies and direction his government will pursue when elected back in power in 2020 hence his call on Ghanaians not to vote for him.
“Former President Mahama has lost focus and direction, he has not been able to say one thing he will do if voted into power, expect to review almost everything Nana Akufo has done,” he said.
