Premier League returns with exciting matchday 17 fixtures across Ghana
The Ghana Premier League resumes this weekend after the completion of the MTN FA Cup Round of 32, with 16 teams progressing to the next stage of the competition.
Matchday 17 kicks off on Saturday, January 18, 2025, with an exciting clash between Accra Lions and Gold Stars FC at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.
The remaining eight fixtures will be played across the country on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Asante Kotoko will host Premier League newcomers Vision FC at Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, while Hearts of Oak travel to Samreboi to face FC Samartex 1996 in the weekend’s topliner.
Other matchups include Nsoatreman FC hosting Karela United, Basake Holy Stars welcoming Aduana FC at Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park, and Medeama SC facing Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.
League leaders Heart of Lions will take on Nations FC, while Young Apostles will play Bechem United in a Bono derby.
Bottom side Legon Cities will battle Dreams FC at the University of Ghana Stadium in an eagerly awaited fixture.
