Retired Brigadier General Nunoo-Mensah, a former National Security Advisor, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the current state of Ghana, citing severe economic hardships.
In an interview, he remarked, “The country is in a mess, the Akufo-Addo I believed in, in 1998 isn’t the same person today.”
The former Chief of Defence Staff voiced his disappointment with Ghana’s development, stating that he had expected the nation to be in a much better condition.
He criticized both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for failing the country.
“I am a disappointed person, I thought Ghana would be a better place than we are today,” Nunoo-Mensah said.
He emphasized that elected officials are supposed to serve the country’s interests, not their own.
“When asked about the nature of politics today, he bluntly stated, “It is just to make money,” he said on TV3’s Hot Issues on Sunday, June 16.
