The Ghana Police Service has detained and interdicted one of its officers for pouring hot water on another officer.
According to the police, the suspect, Constable Alonsi Elizabeth, stationed at the Nima Police Division, poured boiling water on a female colleague following an argument between them at their residence.
“She is currently in custody and will be taken through both internal disciplinary processes and the due processes at the court of law,” a statement by the Ghana Police Service said.
Meanwhile, the victim, who sustained injuries to parts of her face and her back, is in a stable condition and receiving medical support.
