Police on Suale’s death: We have interrogated Nyantakyi, Ken Agyapong
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service says it has commenced an “extensive and rigorous investigations into the unfortunate killing of Mr. Ahmed Hussein-Suale.”
It has consequently interrogated Messrs Kennedy Agyapong, Assin Central MP and Kwesi Nyantakyi, former President of the Ghana Football Association.
The police made the claims in an update, on its investigations into the killing of investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale by two suspected gunmen on Wednesday, January 16.
According to the police, statements have been taken from both Kwesi Nyantakyi and Kennedy Agyapong.
Nyantakyi was the biggest casualty in a sting operation into corruption in Ghana football undertaken by Hussein-Suale’s Tiger Eye PI, along with ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, while Kennedy Agyapong issued an edict for Suale to be beaten up because he was a “bad” and “dangerous” boy.
“The CID has and continues to interrogate other persons of interest as well as following up on multiple significant leads”, the statement said.

The police said in the statement signed by ACP David Eklu, Director-General of Police Public Affairs, that they are also available on telephone numbers 0244623866 and 0242814863, or toll free numbers 18555 and 191.
The CID said it is committed to thorough investigations of high integrity in this case in particular and all other unresolved crimes in general, adding that “Updates and outcomes of these investigations will be made known to the general public as they become available and appropriate to do so.”
