Police Officer Murdered In Bullion Van Attack To Be Buried On July 15

A police officer who tragically lost his life in a bullion van robbery incident at Ablekuma Fan Milk will be buried on July 15.

The deceased, Lance Corporal Amoah Callistus, who was on duty during the incident, was fatally shot by armed assailants at a fuel station at Ablekuma Fan Milk.

An obituary shared online revealed that a pre-burial service for Lance Corporal Amoah will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at the St. George Catholic Church, Police Depot, Tesano.

The funeral rites will immediately follow the service.

The officer’s body will then be transported to the family residence on Saturday, July 15, 2023. A brief burial mass is scheduled to take place on the same day in Kologu, Navrongo, located in the Upper East Region.

Meanwhile, two persons have since been arrested in connection with the crime, and authorities continue in their efforts to bring all responsible parties to justice.

The two, Benjamin Ojogbe and Rashid Abdul have been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder by the Kaneshie District Court.
