Police investigate death of NSS personnel with Cocoa Research Institute
The Eastern Regional Police have began investigations into the cause of death of one Isaac Dokyi a National Service person with the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) at Tafo in the Abuakwa North Municipality.
According to reports, the deceased was riding a bicycle to church when a speeding private car crushed him at the accident-prone OPASS junction on the main Koforidua Bunso stretch.
The accident occurred Saturday, January 28, 2023.
Health professionals at the Akyem Tafo government hospital, however, pronounced him dead on arrival after he was rushed to the facility.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the morgue for preservation.
The Akyem Tafo police have launched investigations into the cause of the accident after the suspect driver, reported himself to the police.
