The Ghana Police Service has arrested two persons and rescued several victims from organised cybercrime operations in Tema.
In a statement issued on February 12, 2026, the police announced that the operation was initiated by the Inspector General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, and was driven by intelligence.
“Acting on the instructions of the Inspector General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, a combined team from the Special Operations Unit and personnel from the Okpoi-Gono District Headquarters, led by ASP Grace Owusua Gyan, on 2 February 2026 coordinated an intelligence-led operation.
“The mission was focused on rescuing kidnapped victims, apprehending the suspects and disrupting ongoing cyber fraud activities,” portions of the statement read.
The statement identified the two male suspects as Robinson Endurance and Derrick Glory, noting that they were arrested at Devtraco Estate, Community 25, without any resistance.
The operation resulted in the discovery and rescue of 10 victims who had reportedly been unlawfully confined and coerced into participating in cybercrime-related activities.
Photographs of the suspects, victims, and recovered evidence, documented for records and prosecution, were also disseminated to the media.
The Okpoi-Gono District Police assured the public that further updates regarding the investigation and prosecution of the suspects would be communicated in due course.
