The Kasoa District Police Command has arrested three individuals for assaulting doctors and nurses at the Kasoa Mother and Child Hospital over the death of a 17-year-old boy, identified as Nana Adu.

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, the parents of the teenager rushed him to the Mother and Child Hospital for treatment after he fell unconscious at home.

Unfortunately, Nana Adu passed away an hour after arriving at the hospital due to the suspected administration of the wrong medication by the nurses.

The angry family from Kasoa Opeikuma in the Central Region accused the hospital of causing the death of their beloved.

The father of the deceased, Daniel Hebibor, accused the health workers of administering the wrong medication to his son.

However, the Medical Superintendent of Kasoa Mother and Children Hospital, Dr. Apetogbor Dzedegbe, has refuted the allegations of negligence.

According to him, the health workers did everything possible to save the boy’s life.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the death of the 17-year-old boy.
