The police have arrested 29 suspects concerning a violent clash between two rival groups at New Tulaku, Ashaiman.
They were arrested in the early hours of Friday, October 28, 2022.
According to a statement from the Ghana Police Service, the clash ensued as a result of a misunderstanding between the two factions at the New Tulaku meat market.
The misunderstanding escalated into a full-blown attack which caused six people to sustain various degrees of injuries.
The police explained that “the injured are currently at the hospital receiving medical attention and are all in stable condition, according to the medical authorities.”
Meanwhile, the police have restored calm to the area and deepened personnel presence at Ashaiman and its environs.
They further assured the public that the investigation would continue and all those involved would be brought to justice.
