Police and military officials have visited the Ghana Senior High School(GHANASCO) following threats by some residents especially the youth of Kukuo in the Tamale metropolis to pull down an ongoing wall project funded by the Old Students Association.
The residents preventing the construction of the wall around the school claim that when the ongoing project is completed, it will hinder residents from accessing the only source of water in the community.
Meanwhile, the lack of a fenced wall for the school is causing insecurity for students and management.
The youth who are not in support of the fenced wall have been engaging in a series of quarrels with the management of the school.
Six suspects were arrested earlier this week following an attack on some security task force maintaining order in the school.
The security officers, however, have assured of dealing mercilessly with any youth who will try to invade the school with the aim of halting the construction of the wall around the school.
