Photos: Tears flow at late TV3 Political Editor’s burial
The late Political Editor of TV3, Edward Kwabi, was laid to rest at the Osu Cemetery in Accra on Saturday amid tears.
The dozens of people who turned up to mourn and bid the departed TV3 journalist goodbye could not hold back their tears, choosing to let it loose into handkerchiefs or their faces.
After a brief burial service at the Medical School Mortuary Chapel at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, the body was sent to the Osu Cemetery for interment.
His family members, some of his colleagues in the media fraternity and some executives of the Ghana Journalists Association, were at the service to pay their last respect to the departed 32-yeard-old broadcaster.
‘Eddy’, ‘The General’ or ‘Baobab Tree, as he was affectionately known among his colleagues and friends, died on March 2 after a short illness.
With the ban on social gathering limiting the number of people who could gather and bid the respected broadcaster farewell, very few gathered to bid him farewell.
