[PHOTOS] NPP’s Richard Ahiagbah “in critical condition” after ghastly accident

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Director of Communication, Richard Ahiagbah, has been involved in an accident at Duampompo near Konongo.

It is unclear what caused the accident but his vehicle was completely damaged.

The Director of Communication sustained injuries and is currently on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

The NPP Ashanti Regional Communications Director, Paul Kwabena Yandoh, who confirmed the sad news in an interview said the accident occurred around 1:30 am on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

“The police officer mentioned that the Director has been involved in an accident and has been rushed to Komfo Anokye so he wants me to come to the hospital. His condition is critical but we thank God he is responding to treatment.

“We also went to the accident scene. The vehicle is completely damaged. It is a miracle he is still alive looking at the damage to the vehicle. We give thanks to God,” he said in an interview on UTV monitored by theghanareport.com.

According to Mr Yandoh, Mr Ahiagbah was in the vehicle alone when he collided with a trailer causing the accident.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the NPP ranks, with party members wishing Mr Ahiagba a speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, the driver of the trailer is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
