Photos: Dr. Bawumia joins “Afife” for Mama Blemeali Afeanyetornye III coronation as Queen-mother

Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia joined the Chiefs and people of Afife for the coronation of Mama Blemeali Afeanyetorne III as Queen-mother of the Afife Traditional Council in the Volta region.

Speaking to the Chiefs and people gathered at the coronation, the Vice President reiterated the important roles women play in the development of society and improvement in the Chieftaincy institution.

In congratulating the new Queen-mother, he urged the new Queen to keep playing such vital roles to help better the lives of the people and the society at large.

He also charged them to continue to support the Akufo-Addo government in fulfilling its promises and its fight to eradicate poverty, inequality, hunger, disease and underdevelopment in the region and Ghana as a whole.
