(PHOTOS) Asamoah Gyan, Muntari and others commiserate with Christian Atsu’s family
Some former Black Stars players on Tuesday, February 21 visited the family house of Christian Atsu to commiserate with them.
Among the footballers were the former captain of the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari, Emmanuel Agyeman Badu, Baffour Gyan and Haminu Dramani.
The players were at the family home of the former Ghana international to show support following his passing after being a casualty of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria on February 6.
The players also signed a book of condolence to record their condolences for the sudden death of their colleague.
Atsu was confirmed dead on Saturday, February 18, after being under rubble for 12 days, having been involved in the disaster a day after scoring a winning goal for Hatayspor in the Turkish Super Lig game against Kasimpasa.
His remains touched down in Ghana over the weekend and were received by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration as well as the family.
Abedi Ayew Pele also led a delegation that paid a visit to the family house on Monday, February 20, to pay tribute to the departed star’s family.
