Passengers injured after ‘trotro’ somersaults at Okponglo
Some passengers have sustained various degrees of injuries after a commercial bus, popularly known as trotro, somersaulted at Okponglo in Accra.
The incident happened after the commercial bus with registration number GW 5295-12 failed its brake.
The bus, which was carrying the passengers according to sources, was heading from Madina to Accra when the incident happened while it was approaching, the Ghana Standard Authority traffic light.
No other car was however involved in the accident.
Police personnel, as well as other emergency service workers, are currently at the scene assisting victims.
Multiple sources say an ambulance is also at the scene to convey the injured persons to the nearest hospital for treatment.
