Parliament has officially adjourned sitting until Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
This was announced during Thursday’s proceedings.
This break allows legislators to prepare adequately for the upcoming agenda, which promises to be packed with significant debates and discussions in the Chamber.
When the House fully resumes on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, a range of topics will be lined up for consideration.
Some of these include debates on tackling violence against women and girls, as well as discussions on various bills, such as the Renters’ Rights Bill and the Non-Domestic Rating (Multipliers and Private Schools) Bill.
Despite the adjournment, committees will continue to meet and conduct business.
The Public Accounts Committee, for instance, is scheduled to examine the issue of Crown Court backlogs, while the Energy, Security, and Net Zero Committee is expected to discuss matters related to energy security.
The return of Parliament on January 21 has brought some excitement among Ghanaians as many anticipate the flow of fresh ideas in deliberating national issues.
