Ghana Premier League side, Aduana Stars, has appointed Paa Kwesi Fabin as head coach of the club ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The Ghana U17 coach has agreed on a two-year contract with the club and will begin pre-season with the club in the coming days.
Coach Fabin takes over from coach Felix Aboagye who is serving a two-year ban following a recent inquiry into match manipulation involving his former team Inter Allies and Ashantigold, of which both clubs have also been demoted to the lower division.
“We are excited to announce Samuel “Paa Kwesi” Fabin as our new Head Coach. Welcome back to Dormaa Ahenkro,” wrote the club.
Paa Kwesi Fabin will be assisted by former Hearts of Oak physical trainer, W.O Tandoh, who is also making a return to the ‘Ogya’ club.
The two trainers had stints earlier with the Dormaa-based side and are now back to help the ‘Ogya’ club improve on their performance after an impressive showing in recent years.
Coach Fabin first joined Aduana Stars in February 2020 but left in January 2021, citing to personal issues as his reason for leaving.
His assistant W.O Tandoh took over but also left for Accra Hearts of Oak after a short while.
The two-time Ghana Premier League champions finished in 11th in the last season and will be hoping for a return to top form with the return of both coaches.
