Our mental strength is admirable – Otto Addo

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has praised Ghana’s mental fortitude two games into the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

He said this in an interview with Ghana Football Association (GFA) Head of Communications Henry Asante Twum.

Ghana lost 2-3 to Portugal and beat South Korea 3-2 in the follow up game with the Black Stars having to fight back after conceding goals in the course of both games.

While Ghana’s back line has been quite porous in Qatar, Otto Addo has pointed to the team’s strong mentality to battle through adversity; the Black Stars is the youngest team competing in this year’s World Cup.

“Good to see how mentally strong we are to fight back, to score the third goal (against South Korea) because it was needed and the way we defended was extraordinary although in all we allowed way too many crosses” he said.
