Prosper Narteh Ogum, head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, has dubbed the team’s upcoming match against Medeama Sporting Club a crucial opportunity to unveil their revamped squad.

In an exclusive interview with Kotoko media, Ogum emphasized the significance of this fixture as the team gears up for the 2024-2025 season, set to kick off in September.

As part of their preseason preparations, the Porcupine Warriors will face off against Medeama on August 16, providing a platform for the team to showcase their new look.

“[That game presents a] huge opportunity because we’ve now assembled a different team with almost all our key targets in now so I think it’s good for us because we will have about two weeks to train and then whatever that we have done to go and exhibit it at Medeama to give us a technical team and as management, a fair idea of these players.”

“To me, playing against Medeama in a new stadium [newly built TNA Venue], looking at the old rivalry between Kotoko and Medeama at Tarkwa, I think it is going to bring the best out of the players.”
