The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has urged traditional leaders to bury their differences and unite for the speedy development of their communities.
His statement comes after series of attacks involving chiefs and sub chiefs in the country.
Speaking at the Asanteman Council meeting in Kumasi, the Asantehene said the socio-economic challenges confronting the country can best be resolved if people rally behind their leaders at all levels to proffer solutions.
“There is a need to have a united front in order to address issues confronting the kingdom and chart a new path for development,” Otumfuo Osei Tutu II said.
The Asantehene charged the chiefs to help unite all factions to drive development in the country.
Earlier, the Ashanti Regional Police Command had reported the murder of Otumfuo’s Asampohene, Nana Kwadwo Afodjour.
According to investigations, he was murdered on Sunday, 18th August, 2019.
