Otto Addo to participate in CAF’s AFCON Coaches Symposium in Cote d’Ivoire

Head Coach of Ghana’s Black Stars, Otto Addo, will attend the CAF Coaches Symposium on September 12-13, 2024.

This comes days after the former Borussia Dortmund talent trainer led Ghana through a sluggish 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

Ghana lost 1-0 to Angola in Kumasi last week before being held to a 1-1 draw by unfancied Niger on Monday in Morocco.

Emerse Faé, who orchestrated Côte d’Ivoire’s turnaround at the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023, will headline a long list of African coaches participating in the workshop.

Fifty coaches from CAF’s Member Associations will converge in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, for the two-day event. The symposium will take place on Thursday and Friday, September 12-13, 2024.

The two finalists at AFCON, Emerse Faé and Nigeria’s former head coach, José Peseiro, will be among the panelists.

The CAF Coaches Symposium will focus on the performance of National Teams during the highly praised Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023, considered the best AFCON in the competition’s history.

CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, Ivorian government officials, and FIF President Yacine Idriss Diallo will open the event with a discussion centered on legacy.
