Otto Addo names strong IX for crucial AFCON qualifier against Sudan
Coach Otto Addo seeks to revitalize the Black Stars’ fortunes in their crucial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sudan later today.
Coach Otto Addo has made one significant change to the lineup, bringing the Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams in to bolster the Black Stars’ performance as they seek to end a disappointing run of three games without a win.
With Inaki upfront, experienced striker Jordan Ayew will be on the bench.
The starting lineup features goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi, with a backline consisting of Alidu Seidu, Gideon Mensah, Mohammed Salisu, and Alexander Djiku.
The midfield will see Sulemana Ibrahim partner with Elisha Owusu, while Antoine Semenyo and Ernest Nuamah take up positions on the wings.
Mohammed Kudus is set to play as the attacking midfielder, providing support to Inaki who will be the lone striker.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 1 pm Ghana time at the Martyrs Stadium in Benina, Libya.
Currently, Ghana sits third in Group F with just two points, making this match pivotal for their AFCON qualification campaign.
A victory is essential for the Black Stars to regain momentum and improve their standings in the group.
