Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Chairman of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) team, has revealed that the anti-corruption task force has gathered significant evidence of looted state properties by officials of the previous government.

Mr. Ablakwa confirmed that the gathered evidence will be submitted to President John Dramani Mahama for further action in the coming weeks.

A few weeks ago, President Mahama appointed Mr. Ablakwa, Nathan Kofi Boakye, Martin Kpebu, Raymond Archer, and Daniel Domelevo to investigate and collect evidence on state capture and asset mismanagement.

Speaking to the media in the Eastern Region, Mr. Ablakwa expressed confidence in the team’s progress, calling their work successful and pledging to hold those responsible accountable.

He emphasised that the nature of the findings will remain undisclosed until the final report is presented to the president.

He further assured that the report would reveal the scale of the misappropriated assets and the collective efforts to ensure proper legal action and recovery.

“We will not reveal the specifics until we have presented our findings to His Excellency the President. Once our report is shared, the people of Ghana will see the thorough work done and the extent of the looting. The evidence has been meticulously coordinated, and we look forward to our attorney general and other institutions helping us recover these stolen assets.”
