One person has been arrested concerning the death of a nurse at the Walewale Government Hospital in the North East Region.
The deceased, Salifu Abdulai, reportedly fell victim to assailants on Sunday night (October 8, 2023).
He was reportedly beaten to a pulp, and his body was dumped near the Walewale cemetery.
Subsequently, Mr Abdulai was conveyed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
Initial examinations conducted by the police have suggested that the victim may have suffered a violent and brutal assault, as numerous injuries were observed on his body.
The suspect is currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.
The police are yet to ascertain the motive behind the murder.
