Okoe Boye’s swearing-in ceremony in pictures

President Nana Akufo-Addo has sworn Dr Bernard Okoe-Boye into office as the new Deputy Minister for Health.

The ceremony was held at the Jubilee House on Monday, April 20, after parliament approved the nomination of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ledzokuku.

His appointment comes at a very difficult time as his expertise will be needed to battle the coronavirus scourge that has killed nine people and kept more than a thousand others in hospitals.

President Akufo-Addo said he was “very confident that he (Dr Okoe-Boye) has what it takes to confront this challenge and add his talent and energy to the work of government”.

Dr Okoe-Boye, a medical practitioner, has been the Board Chair of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital since June 28, 2019.
