An okada rider in Kasoa is counting his losses after he was allegedly attacked with a machete and robbed of his motorbike by a man who had earlier hired his services.

The victim, identified as Adam Kwesi, was reportedly lured to a construction site at Kasoa Kwaboni by a man known as Kwablah Wisdom Adetu. What was supposed to be a routine pickup turned into a violent robbery.

According to Adam, he first met Kwablah on March 3, 2026, when the suspect hired him for a trip from Kasoa Ofaakor Station to Alico. During the trip, Kwablah reportedly took Adam’s phone number.

Later that evening, the suspect allegedly called the rider again and asked him to buy food and deliver it to him at Alico. The following day, March 4, Kwablah again contacted Adam and asked to be transported to a construction site at Kwaboni.

Adam said he dropped him off and agreed to return in the evening to pick him up after work.

However, when he arrived at the site that evening, he was reportedly attacked by Kwablah and two other men. One of the suspects allegedly slashed at him with a machete.

The incident has been reported to the Kasoa Ofaakor Police Station, and investigations are expected to begin to track down the suspects.
