Ghanaian gospel artiste, Ohemaa Mercy has finally disclosed why he decided to leave his teaching profession for music ministry.
According to her, she couldn’t afford to risk her career as a teacher so she had to pray about it in order to decide on what she wants.
“I stopped because the ministry is becoming bigger and I can’t risk leaving the classroom. It was really hectic so I had to pray about it and choose my ministry; and I love my music ministry so I had to sacrifice the classroom,” She said in an interview monitored by ABC News.
Asked whether she was motivated by money to dump teaching, Ohemaa Mercy responded in the negative. She says she chose music over teaching because of her genuine passion for the art. She adds however that due to her love for kids she will be establishing a school soon.
“By the Grace of God we’re going to come up with a school very soon because I love seeing kids and I love seeing kids in the classroom,” she said.
