OGC Nice condemn fan attack against Black Stars duo’s team
French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice have condemned the attack by fans of the team on the team’s playing members and technical team members.
Nice condemned the attack describing it as unacceptable in a statement as the fallout from the incident continues to dominate French football.
Members of OGC Nice’s playing and technical team were reportedly attacked by 400 fans of the club at the club’s training facility following a 3-1 loss to Lorient.
Black Stars duo Abdul Salis Samed and Kojo Oppong Peprah played in the game against Lorient and were reportedly in the bus at the time of the attack.
The loss is the sixth in a row for Nice in the league that has led to the club slip to 10th place in the French Ligue 1 standings. The club has lost all five games in the Europa League further frustrating the fans.

Since the incident, Terem Moffi and Jeremie Boga who were beaten during the attack, are on sick leave for five days according to ESPN.
“The club understands the frustration created by the succession of poor displays and performances far from its values.”

“However, the excesses we saw during this gathering are unacceptable. A few members of the club have been attacked. OGC Nice give them its full support and condemn these acts with the highest toughness” a section of the club’s statement read.
