Nurse faces disciplinary action over insults directed at Health Minister

A staff nurse at the Nkenkaasu District Hospital, located in the Ashanti Region, Ms. Bernice Aboagye, has received a formal query from the hospital management following her alleged appearance in videos that have been circulating on social media.

These videos reportedly feature what officials have termed as “unprintable, inappropriate, and scandalous words” directed towards the Minister of Health.

In a letter signed by Dr. Samuel Freeman Mensah, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, management conveyed their concerns regarding the videos, emphasising that the content has attracted public disapproval.

“This office has observed that you have been captured in videos circulating in social media using unprintable, inappropriate, and scandalous words on the Honourable Minister of Health,” the letter stated.

Additionally, it was mentioned that the hospital has received “numerous calls from concerned Ghanaians expressing their discontent and reservations about the content of the videos”.

Dr. Mensah further remarked, “We also have information that these videos are discussed on various social media platforms with people making all manner of disparaging comments about the service”.
