Ntim Fordjour denies knowledge of Dafeamekpor’s defamation lawsuit

The Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev John Ntim Fordjour, says he has not received any official notice regarding a reported defamation suit allegedly filed against him by fellow MP, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor.

In a statement released on Thursday, May 16, 2025, Rev Ntim Fordjour expressed surprise at the media reports circulating about the lawsuit.

According to him, he only became aware of the issue through the press and has not been served any legal documents.

“Media reports of a suit supposedly filed by my colleague, Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Mr Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, have come to my attention. I have, however, not been served with any such suit,” he said.

Rev Ntim Fordjour, who serves as the Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, described the reported legal action as unsubstantiated and indicated he was ready to respond if and when the suit is formally delivered.
