NSA refutes ‘special posting’ claims

The National Service Authority (NSA) has refuted claims that certain prospective service personnel are being offered paid preferential postings, asserting that such allegations are completely unfounded and designed to mislead the public.

In a statement released on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, the Authority emphasised that it neither charges nor accepts any form of payment to sway postings or repostings, highlighting that all deployments are based on merit, are transparent, and are fully automated in line with national service regulations.

“The NSA does not engage in ‘Special Postings’, nor does it charge personnel money to be posted or reposted to their preferred institutions,” the statement said.

It further noted that individuals or groups soliciting money in exchange for favours are committing fraud and should be reported to the relevant security agencies.

The Authority reiterated its dedication to maintaining a fair, credible, and integrity-driven posting process throughout the system.

In a related matter, the NSA detailed several interventions implemented during the recent registration period to tackle challenges faced by some applicants.

The Authority collaborated with the National Identification Authority and the Ghana Publishing Company to establish a dedicated help desk at the NSA Headquarters to address discrepancies in personal information, including modifications to names and dates of birth.

This partnership also led to a negotiated reduction in gazette service fees to alleviate the financial burden on personnel.

In order to enhance administrative procedures, the NSA and the Ghana Publishing Company have implemented a digital gazette system via an e-gazette platform, enabling personnel to address documentation issues online.

Furthermore, additional support desks have been set up at all regional offices, along with a sophisticated IT desk at the NSA Headquarters, which will be operational starting Monday, December 8.

These desks are tasked with resolving any outstanding documentation or technical issues before the registration deadline on December 12.

The Authority has also introduced a systematic appointment framework designed to alleviate congestion at the headquarters.

Although personnel are still permitted to visit any regional office for assistance, those who wish to receive support at the head office are now required to schedule appointment slots through designated phone lines or Google forms.

Applicants facing unresolved issues are encouraged to reach out to the NSA Call Centre at 0554404422, 0554400078, or 0554400069, or to arrange virtual or in-person meetings via the online platforms.

The NSA has expressed gratitude for the cooperation demonstrated throughout the registration period and has assured personnel of its continued dedication to a seamless, transparent, and accountable deployment process.
