A day filled with anticipation and excitement quickly turned into disappointment as many bigwigs of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) were shown the exit.
The NPP held its parliamentary primaries across over 104 constituencies in the country on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
At the end of the polls, several prominent incumbents, once considered stalwarts, witnessed their bids for re-election abruptly dashed.
Leading the pack of losers is the Dome Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo, who fell by a huge margin.
Tano North MP Freda Prempeh and Weija/Gbawe MP Tina Mensah also feature prominently.
