NPP Primaries: Mike Ocquaye Jnr loses, Kofi Adda out
The Minister of Aviation, Mr Joseph Kofi Adda, and Ghana’s High Commissioner to India, Mr Mike Ocquaye Jnr, have lost their race to grab the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ticket for the December 7 Parliamentary elections.
While Adwoa Safo, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya floored her arch-rival and diplomat, Mike Ocquaye Jnr, another diplomat, Paulina T. Abayage, ended the 2020 Parliamentary dreams of current Navrongo Central legislator, Kofi Adda.
The Upper East Regional Minister, Ms Abayege, who returned from Italy as Ghana’s Ambassador, showed Mr Adda the door with 307 votes against 266.
In the race of two lawyers , Adwoa Safo had 496, while Mr Ocquaye Jnr scored 488.
