Trade and Industry Minister Kobina Tahir Hammond has emerged victorious in the just-ended New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries.
Provisional results trickling in show he won the Adansi Asokwa race with 311 votes representing 63.86%.
His main contender Samuel Binfoh Darkwah garnered 125 votes representing 25.67%.
Meanwhile, voting has ended across the 104 constituencies, with counting ongoing.
The elections were organised in constituencies where the NPP has sitting Members of Parliament (MPs).
A total of 321 candidates are contending for tickets to represent the NPP in the 2024 parliamentary elections, with 33 of these candidates going unopposed.
