NPP’s post-election report is confidential — Ahiagbah

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah, has emphasised that the party’s post-election report will be kept private and not shared with the public.

Mr. Ahiagbah made this remark during an interview following a party meeting in Accra on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

The confidential report prepared by a committee led by Prof. Mike Oquaye evaluates the party’s performance in the 2024 general elections.

“I don’t think so. It is an internal document that will be used to aid the party’s reform process and help position us for victory in 2028,” he said.

“So I can guarantee you, even though it is not expressly stated, it is clearly implied that the document is not meant for public consumption,” Ahiagbah added.

Ahiagbah further indicated that while the report is confidential, important insights will be shared with supporters in a manner that respects their privacy.

“There’s a way, our supporters will go about it that will not complicate it. So it’s just a working document. It’s a document that the party is going to work to. Most of the recommendations are key in what we do now,” he stated.

The post-election report, rich with detailed suggestions to tackle the challenges faced during the 2024 campaign, is poised to play a significant role in shaping the NPP’s strategy and reforms ahead of the upcoming 2028 elections.
