Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Amasaman are fuming over the decision of the party to call off today’s parliamentary primary following the court injunction.

The delegates are also angry over their inability to secure their transportation fares back to their various homes as a result of the cancellation of the polls.

According to Starr News Daniel Nii Lartey who monitoring events there, the ” delegates are not as upset over the cancellation of the polls as they are about the challenge in getting money for transport to their homes”.

An aspirant in the polls Rockson Adu Boahene on Friday obtained  an interlocutory injunction to stop the election after he was disqualified from the contest.

The ruling party is holding the primaries in about 100 constituencies where they have no incumbent in parliament. Such constituencies are known as orphan constiteuncies.
