NPP parliamentary aspirant in a car crash
An aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Mpraeso Constituency, Davis Opoku Ansah, has been involved in an accident, Starr FM has reported.
The accident occurred on Tuesday evening on the Accra-Suhum road when the aspirant, popularly known as OPK, and his team were returning from Accra to the Mpraeso.
Opoku together with five other people were reportedly injured and were responding to treatment at a health facility in Accra.
He filed his nomination last week to contest the incumbent MP, Seth Kwame Acheampong.
Mr Opoku, a Public Relations consultant, is a long-standing activist of the part.
He is also the Operations Director of the Pro-Government pressure group, Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG).
The Mpraeso Constituency has been a fortress for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with Seth Kwame Acheampong occupying the seat since 2009.
He succeeded Dr Francis Osafo Mensah, who had occupied the seat since 1996.
