Scores of New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters are set to gather at the Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) in Takoradi today, August 18, for the launch of the party’s 2024 manifesto.

The event, scheduled to start at 1:00 pm, follows a large health walk held in Sekondi-Takoradi yesterday.

According to a statement from NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, an eleven-member committee was formed to organize the launch.

Madam Oboshie Sai-Coffie leads the committee, with Ms. Abena Asante serving as secretary.

The Director of Communications for the Bawumia campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye has disclosed that the upcoming manifesto will focus heavily on job creation and business development.

He expressed confidence that the NPP, having successfully delivered on similar promises before, is ready to do so again, especially for the youth.

In an interview, Mr. Aboagye revealed that about 90% of the manifesto would concentrate on boosting jobs and private sector businesses, underscoring the NPP’s commitment to a vibrant, privately-driven economy.

“The manifesto is designed to ensure that the private sector not only thrives but also expands, increases production, and empowers citizens to access the opportunities generated,” he explained.

“As businesses grow, they will naturally need to hire more people, leading to increased employment.”

He proudly highlighted that the NPP is the only government in Ghana’s history to create more jobs in eight years than any previous administration.

“We have created 2.1 million jobs, and we have the data to back it up,” he said.

He stressed that these are not just temporary jobs but sustainable positions that provide long-term security.

“These are genuinely sustainable jobs. The data is available for everyone to see. As voters head to the polls, they must choose between John Mahama and Dr. Bawumia. The choice is clear—vote for the one with a proven record in job creation.”
